La Giordania è una terra dove la storia millenaria si intreccia con paesaggi mozzafiato e atmosfere cariche di fascino. Attraverso queste foto voglio accompagnare il lettore tra le meraviglie di questo paese, dai siti archeologici senza tempo alle distese infinite del deserto.
Il cammino inizia ad Amman, la capitale vibrante e ricca di storia, dove le rovine romane si fondono con la modernità, e i mercati brulicano di vita e colori. Da qui, il viaggio prosegue verso il Mar Morto, un luogo unico al mondo, dove l’acqua iper salina permette di galleggiare senza sforzo.
Poi c’è Petra, la città rosa scolpita nella roccia, una delle meraviglie del mondo antico. Attraversare il Siq e trovarsi di fronte al Tesoro è un’esperienza indimenticabile: la luce cambia le sfumature della pietra, dando vita a un’opera d’arte naturale. Templi, tombe e scalinate segrete raccontano la grandezza dei Nabatei e il mistero di una civiltà scomparsa.
Infine, il viaggio si perde nell’immensità del deserto del Wadi Rum, un mare di sabbia dorata e rocce imponenti. Qui, tra le dune scolpite dal vento e limpidi cieli stellati, si respira l’essenza piu’ autentica della Giordania.
Jordan is a land where millennial history is intertwined with breathtaking landscapes and atmospheres full of charm. Through these photos I want to accompany the reader through the wonders of this country, from the timeless archeological sites to the endless splants of the desert.
The journey begins in Amman, the vibrant and historic capital, where the Roman ruins merge with modernity, and the markets teem with life and colours. From here, the journey continues to the Dead Sea, a unique place in the world, where the hyper-saline water allows you to float effortlessly.
Then there is Petra, the pink city carved into the rock, one of the wonders of the ancient world. Crossing the Siq and being in front of the Treasury is an unforgettable experience: the light changes the shades of the stone, giving life to a natural work of art. Temples, tombs and secret staircases tell the greatness of the Nabataeans and the mystery of a disappeared civilisation.
Finally, the journey is lost in the immensity of the Wadi Rum desert, a sea of golden sand and imposing rocks. Here, among the wind-shaped dunes and clear starry skies, you can breathe the most authentic essence of Jordan.
