La Cina è un continente più che un paese. Viaggiare in questa terra è seguire il filo di un sogno tessuto da dinastie e rivoluzioni dove l’imperiale e il moderno si osservano, a volte in armonia, a volte in contrasto.
A Pechino la storia si fa presente: il Tempio del Cielo, il Summer Palace, Piazza Tienanmen e poi la Città Proibita, labirinto di corti, legni laccati e mistero. Xi’an emoziona con le migliaia di guerrieri di terracotta, eternamente in guardia, ciascuno diverso. Lijiang è una pausa dalla grandiosità imperiale, con i vicoli lastricati e i corsi d’acqua. Hangzhou è un soffio di poesia dove il lago dell’Ovest trasmette tranquillità e dove il tempo sembra rallentare. Shanghai invece è uno slancio verso il futuro. Grattacieli che sfidano le nuvole e stupefacenti luci notturne. E infine Hong Kong, metropoli verticale e vibrante, sospesa tra libertà e memoria.
China is a continent more than a country. Travelling in this land is following the thread of a dream woven by dynasties and revolutions where the imperial and the modern are observed, sometimes in harmony, sometimes in contrast.
In Beijing, history is present: the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square and then the Forbidden City, a maze of courts, lacquered woods and mystery. Xi'an excites with the thousands of terracotta warriors, eternally on guard, each different. Lijiang is a break from the imperial grandeur, with paved alleys and waterways. Hangzhou is a breath of poetry where the West Lake transmits tranquillity and where the weather seems to slow down. Shanghai, on the other hand, is an impulse towards the future. Skyscrapers that defy the clouds and amazing night lights. And finally Hong Kong, a vertical and vibrant metropolis, suspended between freedom and memory.
