Il viaggio inizia a Lima, capitale affacciata sull’Oceano Pacifico che la abbraccia con la sua nebbiolina. Poi Arequipa, con il convento di Santa Catalina che è una città nella città. Il percorso è proseguito per la Valle Sacra degli inca: un susseguirsi di valli, terrazze e fiumi. E poi, Machu Picchu, sospesa tra nuvole e pietre, circondata da montagne colme di vegetazione, dove l’energia del passato è fortemente presente. Poi Cusco e continuando la salita, Puno, Juliaca e il Lago Titicaca con le isole galleggianti abitate dai popoli andini. Ed infine di nuovo a Lima per terminare un viaggio meraviglioso.
The journey begins in Lima, the capital overlooking the Pacific Ocean that embraces it with its fog. Then Arequipa, with the convent of Santa Catalina which is a city within the city. The route continued through the Sacred Valley of the Incas: a succession of valleys, terraces and rivers. And then, Machu Picchu, suspended between clouds and stones, surrounded by mountains full of vegetation, where the energy of the past is strongly present. Then Cusco and continuing the climb, Puno, Juliaca and Lake Titicaca with the floating islands inhabited by the Andean peoples. And finally back to Lima to end a wonderful journey.
